Dear Susan,

Just a note to say Happy Fall. The drought and blistering heat of South Louisiana have lifted. I’m busting dirt to plant arugula, romaine lettuce, sugar snaps and sweet peas. You were nice enough to publish an essay of mine on the armadillos that help me turn dirt as they dig for grubs in my garden. Came across the posting this morning and thot I’d say hello. Ed Cullen
